Course Description:

An emergency can be anything than lead to potential harm or injury to employees, environment, asset loss to the facility itself. Emergencies can be in the form of accidents, spillage of hazardous material, environmental catastrophes such as flood, cyclone, earthquake, hurricanes etc.
This course can give insights on how to manage and prepare for such emergencies with the available resources, while it would prove very important to individuals involved in rehabilitation of victims in emergency situation, employees, key entities in the pathway of managing the emergencies, government bodies etc. The course would also provide understanding of response actions in the event of any emergency and the role, responsibilities during the process.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the roles of the employer, local, state and agencies in the emergency and disaster response
  • Apply the four phases of emergency management
  • Learn the guiding principles for successful, comprehensive emergency management program
  • Understand the incident command system during an emergency response
  • Understand emergency response and evacuation procedures
